Daily writing prompt
What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

if i could help someone for just one day, i would help them compile, organize, clean, and compute their metrics and data from their business into a manageable and tangible report.

my passion is in helping people find the nuance in the numbers, the meaning in the metrics, the details in the data…

i must confess, i love data, i love working w data, i love organizing data.

in one day, i would begin with what they want to accomplish (why are we working with data, and what do you want to learn from the numbers? how can they help you make a decision?)

next, i would spend time cleaning up the data, combining it where it makes sense to do so, and then I would spend time looking at that data, studying it in a sense.

after finding patterns and data to support the initial questions / goals, i would compile a comprehensive report w various charts and visual representation of the data

those questions, data sources, and reporting stats would be compiled into a presentation to show you the process and the source of the stats. this would be for decision making, probably growth metrics, possibly strategic decisions.

that’s what i would want to do. then, if you liked it, i would offer to do it one a month 🙂

who am i?

my name is jojo, i’m an ex-marketing nerd w a passion for people and numbers. i’m on a journey to becoming a data scientist or data strategist. i want to help business owners and teams with organizing, cleaning, and presenting data in a way that makes sense.

here’s to the journey!
